SHOUT IT OUT!
Jubilation brings people from all walks of life together to sing songs that reflect the universal themes of struggle, salvation, and love. We give every song a gospel sensibility, celebrating the joy of the human voice.
For 25 years, Jubilation has been a choir with a gospel heart and a rock 'n' roll soul. Now, we're blending the divine with the profane, reinterpreting everyone from The Beatles to Prince while honouring old gospel favourites. This is a groovy mix of the sweet and the raucous, where Americana meets Aotearoa in a soulful, unforgettable experience.
Jubilation is a vibrant collective of voices from all walks of life. For most of us, this choir is a labor of love—a way to express ourselves and be part of something greater than the sum of its parts.
Our ranks also include some of New Zealand's most celebrated performing artists, who join us to flex a different artistic muscle. Where else would you hear NZ theatre icon Jennifer Ward-Lealand CNZM, actor/writer Fiona Samuel MNZM, or entertainer extraordinaire Jackie Clarke MNZM bringing their magic to a gospel-infused stage?
We live for that moment when music leaps off the stage and into the hearts of the audience. By marrying the meticulous detail of choral tradition with the raw, improvised freedom of our soloists, we deliver a soulful, rock 'n' roll show unlike any other.
